I’d like to think I’ve been doing this long enough that my audience knows I’m not out to make a quick buck – and I think even relatively new bloggers can prove this based on their other content.

Dropshipping, on the other hand, enables you to set the price so that you can make as much profit off of an item as you want. However, it’s quite easy to get this wrong, and if you price your products too high or too low, then you will put people off.
Google, if you a relying on search traffic, can change how they send traffic, rank your page, and how you show up on the SERPS at the drop of a hat. Really, you don’t have control on boosting your traffic when relying on organic search results because it’s not paid. If you are relying on other people’s traffic or other people’s affiliate offers, it can run dry very quickly. It’s not up to you with affiliate marketing. With drop shipping (or selling your own products or private labeling), you have that control over traffic sources.

If you’ve been online for any period of time, you’ve encountered a version of The Billy Mays.  Every marketer has their own style.  I prefer to make these emails personable and describe how the product has been beneficial to my own life.  Then I’ll list a bunch of benefits the reader receives if they make a purchase.  Overall, this is a great way to make an affiliate recommendation because it discusses the product in a frank, real-world example.
I agree with most of your sentiments except on the issue of paying a membership fee. Legitimate manufacturers and distributors DO NOT charge membership fees. At most, a nominal $3-$5 service charge if your order is under a certain amount. Rarely is it a good idea to deal with a supplier that is charging any type of monthly or yearly membership fee because they are middle men and you're not going to get as great a wholesale price as you would from the manufacturer or distributor. Ideally, it's smart to contact suppliers that do not advertise drop shipping on their website, then once you become an approved Reseller ask them to drop ship for you. Many of the manufacturers that I work with offer the same product price whether you use drop shipping or arbitrage. .

This is forcing some affiliates to obtain user data through opt-in consent (updated privacy policies and cookie notices), even if they are not located in the European Union. This new regulation should also remind you to follow FTC guidelines and clearly disclose that you receive affiliate commissions from your recommendations.
