Readers of email are merciless. If your messages are not targeted to their needs, they will quickly delete your message or, worse yet, they may unsubscribe from your mailing list. To increase the relevance of your messages, think about how to make creative connections with what's going on in your readers' world. 3. Prioritize the Content That Users Will Care About in the Top Three Inches: In a typical email preview pane, you will have approximately three inches to display your content and allow a reader to decide whether to read the full email or not. Make sure that your most engaging newsletter content appears within these top three inches and do not waste the space with graphic headers or filler "welcome" content.

Make it shareable. Send content that people want to share, and make it easy for them to do it. Sure, subscribers can forward your campaign to friends, but that's a lot to ask.
