Only send email if you have something to say. This one seems obvious, but too many companies start email newsletters with no plan and nothing to say. No graphics are allowed on the “brown paper wrapper.” This provision makes sure that recipients cannot view sexually explicit content without an affirmative act on their part – for example, scrolling down or clicking on a link. Remember the limitations of customer surveys.
