An important note about affiliate advertising: writing and updating the reviews in our blog involves a lot of time and effort! So to finance this, we sometimes include affiliate advertising links in our posts. This means that if you buy a product or service after clicking on a link to a product featured in one of our reviews, we may receive a commission on the sale. Cuuver’s James Nuttall agrees that the subject line should be enticing. Saying, “No matter how great your content is, there is no point in writing any of it if the people you send it to aren’t tempted to open the email in the first place; the best way to ensure they do this is to have a subject header which grabs their attention and makes them want to check out the contents”.
Forever Free is lacking when it comes to customer service. MailChimp provides customers with extremely comprehensive articles, videos, and other resources to make all the details of your email marketing easy. But for customers on the Forever Free plan, that’s where the buck stops. There’s no phone number to call if you’re experiencing difficulties with your service, and email support is only available for the first 30 days of your subscription. After that, you’re on your own.
The National Small Business Ombudsman and 10 Regional Fairness Boards collect comments from small businesses about federal compliance and enforcement activities. Each year, the Ombudsman evaluates the conduct of these activities and rates each agency’s responsiveness to small businesses. Small businesses can comment to the Ombudsman without fear of reprisal. To comment, call toll-free 1-888-REGFAIR (1-888-734-3247) or go to www.sba.gov/ombudsman.
76% of marketers see active growth in their number of email subscribers, and that 77% of ROI comes from segmented, targeted, and triggered email campaigns. There’s no denying that email marketing is worth the effort — as long as it’s done correctly. With a variety of advanced email marketing campaign tools at your disposal, you’ll be able to reach out and make contact with an audience that is both widespread and targeted. This means higher conversion rates, improved customer responses, and better results across the board. After all, personalized, effective, and timely email content tells your customers will know that you’re in business to help them. And in the world of marketing, everything else is just spam.

According to a 2017 study, 55% of emails are now opened on mobile devices, which means providing a marketing experience that works on both desktop and mobile platforms is more essential than ever. Both of our top picks include the ability to automatically convert your desktop designs into mobile-friendly formats, and most other major companies do as well — Whichever service you choose, make sure it provides this function so that your emails will read the way you want them to, no matter what platform they’re being read from.
As with every other email: Include a CTA. Don’t forget that dopamine:  Present them with a discount coupon and invite them to make another purchase with you, or invite them to refer their friends to you. Make it easy for them to do either, including providing links that take them straight through to a personalized shopping cart (to make the purchase, with the discount applied), or referral program (with their personalized sharing link displayed).
As you consider building your own email list and sending periodic emails to engage potential clients, think about this: How do you feel about the emails you get that you do enjoy? Can you be that for someone else? Of course, you can! I stay subscribed to a handful of email lists that give me consistent value—personally and in business. Many are from people who inspire me from what they do. These are people I like being reminded of and thinking about once in a while for inspiration and motivation.
"Why aren't millennials moving?" The subject line of this email campaign reads before citing interesting data about relocation trends in the U.S. Trulia doesn't benefit from people who choose not to move, but the company does benefit from having its fingers on the pulse of the industry -- and showing it cares which way the real estate winds are blowing.
Full-featured email apps don't have to be complicated and confusing to use. VerticalResponse proves that with its clean, simple interface that makes it simple to make beautiful emails and send them to your contacts. You can use its pre-made templates, add your own photos complete with filters, and then turn the templates into both emails and matching signup forms.
Thanks Kelly, Mailchimp have definitely come a long way with their UI over the years, it’s just their service that hasn’t caught up ;) I haven’t had the chance to play around with Pure360 as much as I’d like, but I’ve heard the same things echoed by several friends who use their service. Looking at their client list, I think they’re more aimed at large companies though.
