This newsletter was sent by Any.do, which is a to-do app, and they’re announcing their Web version, and they’re saying it’s here. So they most likely send this email to their entire list at the same time, one the same date, announcing that this new product of theirs was ready.
However, there are still a percentage of small business owners who do not take email marketing seriously. This is mainly because of the misconception that email marketing is reserved for the big players in the market. They assume that you need to have lots of customers and a million dollar revenue stream to actually make profit from their email list.
In terms of relationship building, email marketing done well can be extremely successful. Whether it’s a monthly newsletter that comprises targeted information to nurture leads or a blog post, emails can provide an online resource for recipients, positioning a small business as an expert in the field through the posting of regular, insightful and relevant emails.

A good newsletter doesn’t need to be heavily centered on graphics. theSkimm is a newsletter that provides short, snackable bites of daily news to its busy readers (specifically, female millennials). The content is primarily text, but subscribers take the time to read it. Why? Firstly, because the convenient format solves a legitimate problem for them (not being able to stay up to date with current events). And finally, because it’s written in an engaging and relatable tone.
Honor opt-out requests promptly. Any opt-out mechanism you offer must be able to process opt-out requests for at least 30 days after you send your message. You must honor a recipient’s opt-out request within 10 business days. You can’t charge a fee, require the recipient to give you any personally identifying information beyond an email address, or make the recipient take any step other than sending a reply email or visiting a single page on an Internet website as a condition for honoring an opt-out request. Once people have told you they don’t want to receive more messages from you, you can’t sell or transfer their email addresses, even in the form of a mailing list. The only exception is that you may transfer the addresses to a company you’ve hired to help you comply with the CAN-SPAM Act.

We all need inspiration to do our jobs better. However, it is really hard to find good email marketing campaign examples as you usually need to be subscribed to an email list. And even if you are subscribed, it is really difficult to discover a good campaign, as you are getting tons of automated newsletters day after day. But we’ve compiled a list of some of the best email marketing campaign examples to inspire your own next campaign.
Haven’t used email marketing as much as I should. I don’t know, maybe I am not as experienced but my priority is – everything must be simple to use but come off as professional as possible. As well as automation, for now my resources are limited and I want to optimize as much as I can. So I dabbed with main email marketing services and the one that managed to really “Stick” with me was “Omnisend”. You already send and receive emails every day using an app like Gmail or Outlook. Email newsletters don’t push products (or at least they shouldn’t); rather these emails hone a relationship by engaging in personal and topical information relevant to the subscriber.

But if you’re a smaller company and you can do that, I really encourage you to do so because it helps you create a bond with your subscribers, and kind of build that relationship over time. It also helps with your deliverability, right? Because Gmail will see that you responded to this email address, the emails that come from this email address are much more likely to end up in your inbox than your spam folder or elsewhere.
