I haven’t heard of Feedblitz – just looking at their website now. Appears that they’re a Feedburner replacement specialising in RSS-to-email (sending your blog subscribers an email about latest posts). Their pricing looks a bit steep (considering Feedburner was free) – so I’d probably choose Mailchimp or Aweber over them? That way you can message up to a few thousand people free of charge.

What we liked: Marketing automation is a little more sophisticated than other tools’, with options to build and even test various campaign workflows (e.g. based on page visits, email engagement, product purchases). Reporting is also pretty good, although it’s a little annoying that the free plan doesn’t give you details of who opened and clicked. Their paid plans are pretty affordable, starting at only $25 for 40,000 emails.

When we do e-mail marketing, we follow all CAN-SPAM e-mail practices. This means that with every e-mail we send, we give recipients an easy way to be removed from the mailing list. It also means we follow certain guidelines when acquiring e-mail addresses and even keep the source and date of addition for every e-mail we have. Finally, with e-mail marketing we use "white listed" servers, meaning servers that have been tagged as acceptable by the main internet providers. This results in a higher percentage of our mail getting to the inbox, rather than the junk mail box.
