I have tested all the above, I found that the best editor by far is Wix. They have elements that others don’t have such as being able to use your own fonts and delete elements in templates. However their customer support is really bad. They refer you to their on line tutorials and make it incredibly difficult to actually speak to them when you need to. I had something random happen that was not addressed In their online help section. It took a lot of searching to work out how to submit a help ticket. There is no chat and although they say you can call them, that number is not there. When I finally found how to submit a support ticket, which was buried, they did not reply to it. My account showed I had submitted a ticket but they just didn’t deal with it. I also read many other people complaining about the same thing. Its a real shame. Because its so important to get support, as in my case the random technical error meant I had to take the site down, and they just didn’t get back to me. I found a close second to be My website builder, and they provide chat support.

I wondered, what are your thoughts on solutions like Mailigen, Vertical Response, Mad Mimi, and Campaign Monitor? I know there’s a never ending list of possible email software companies that you could compare, but these ones in particular interested me as they seem to offer many similar services to those that you mentioned. Have you come across them before, and if so would you advise using them over GetResponse?

On the hand, if you use something like Wistia you can include a form that appears at a specifically timed moment within your video (in addition to any link annotations). In order to proceed you can require viewers to input their email address (which will go directly into your Mailchimp (or other) account. Plus their analytics tracking is currently superior to what YouTube offers.
One way to improve email deliverability is to remove unengaged subscribers. If you notice that certain subscribers have not opened your emails or engaged with your company content or site in quite some time, you may want to reach out to see if they still want to be on your email list. If they don’t respond, consider removing them to improve deliverability.
This one is simple and marginally effective, but every little bit counts. In the by-line right below your blog posts, insert a link that visitors can click to sign-up for your newsletter. Here’s what I mean. That’s pretty much all there is to it, but a quick note… I’ve tested this with and without Lead Pages’ Lead Box feature. I found that the plain link that send visitors to a newsletter sign-up page converted at a much lower rate (might have been 0 actually) than when I used a Lead Box link instead.

In Mistake #4 above, I referenced the importance of using this information to identifying your top performing message topics, but there are plenty of other things you can do with this information.  For example, you can use your open rate data to identify readers who have opened all your messages, but failed to make a purchase with your business.  Using the tools provided by your email marketing program, you could then group these readers into a sub-segment of your list in order to send them targeted promotions based on their past interaction history.

Ever since I first time heard that you can get free traffic from a thing called Google, I wanted that. But, I had no idea where to start. And what was even worse, every “great” tip I’d receive from an “experts” was a complete BS that only sounds nice, but could never be used by real businesses. Most of those things are considered black-hat now. That’s how “great” those tips were.
AR/VR and BIM — AR/VR has already begun to seep into the installation field, and for good reason. VR gives you the ability to study extensive 3D models in a whole new way. As AR merges the real world with a virtual environment, users can test to see how a piece fits into the whole of a building, and anticipate clashes early. These capabilities are already huge advantages to BIM users, as they allow users to see their designs from a fresh perspective. They will become more of an asset as AR/VR continues to develop rapidly.
I’m sure you’ve heard it before many many times but it’s true. If you have something to sell your list will bring you more income than any other single method. Not only is your list the most important asset you have but it can come with you. What I mean by that is if you have a website on your chosen topic that dies for whatever reason your list will be unaffected by it. You can simply start a new site and move all your peeps over to the new site with one email notification. It sure beats starting all over again.

Split testing, also referred to often as A/B testing, is one of the most effective ways to increase your conversions. A split test on your website means to run a randomized test with two or more design variations being shown to different visitors. The “winning” design variation is the one that get you more results (clicks, email optins, purchases). Split testing makes a lot of sense for websites with 10,000+ visitors per month, so for that reason you should question whether this is the right strategy (right now) to help you grow your email list. Include social sharing buttons and an "Email to a Friend" button in your marketing emails. That way, you'll gain access to their friends, colleagues, and networks and expand your contact list. At the bottom of your emails, include a "Subscribe" CTA as a simple text-based link so that the people receiving the forwarded emails can easily opt-in, too.

This is one of those low-hanging fruit strategies that is so easy you can implement it across your website and sales funnel in a matter of minutes. Simply put: if your goal is to collect email subscribers… then why are you requiring fields other than an email address on your form? Avoid creating an optin form that looks like this:  Not only should you not require all those fields, but take them out! Take them ALL out, and just require an email address.
