2) Foo Bar. Like a great, much cheaper version of the Hello Bar, it allows you to have a sticky promotional message bar at the top of your site as visitors scroll. Great for promoting your email list opt-in! Works well in tandem with a pop-up tool. It certainly gets plenty of clicks on my site – more than promo ads in the side bar! http://codecanyon.net/item/foobar-wordpress-notification-bars/411466
Emails triggered by milestones, like anniversaries and birthdays, are fun to get -- who doesn't like to celebrate a special occasion? The beauty of anniversary emails, in particular, is that they don't require subscribers to input any extra data, and they can work for a variety of senders. Plus, the timeframe can be modified based on the business model.
Infrastructure — BIM isn’t just for constructing buildings. It can be used to create large structures, such as bridges and ports. BIM can be used in these instances the same way it is for constructing buildings, namely integrating the plan, design, build, and phases of a project. These tools can ensure that any large structure is resilient to external circumstances, such as weather, before being constructed.

Do you have an older list that you suspect has mostly decayed? Create an engaging opt-in message and send it to your old list encouraging contacts who wish to re-opt-in -- promising to remove all contacts who don't respond. Though it might seem counterintuitive to remove folks from your email lists in order to grow them, emailing only engaged contacts could improve your deliverability and increase the odds of your email getting shared with those outside your current contacts database.

1) Optin Monster. Big fan of the exit-intent technology of this pop-up tool (as visitors go to exit your site), and the A/B testing functionality – vital for finding the highest clicked headlines/offer and squeezing more out of your email opt-in rate. It’s newly revamped, and I’m loving it. It helped increased my toolbox conversion rate from 2% to 45% which is fantastic. I actually did a comparison article against PopUpDomination and Optin Skin if you want to see other options:
In today’s online-all-the-time world, consumers are connected to digital technology 24/7. With all the noise, it can be hard for you to stand out above your competitors. Opt-in email marketing is one of the best ways to stay in front of prospects and existing customers—92 percent of US adults use email, and 70 percent on average have used a coupon or discount from a marketing email in the past seven days.

While this might seem surprising at first, think about your own online behavior: When you sign up for a website (like an online store), you have to enter your email address to create the account. You even need an email address to create a Facebook or Twitter account. What’s more, Facebook and Twitter email to notify users of activity, like when someone is tagged in a photo.

Very useful tips. I’ve been looking for ways to successfully grow my email list. What I find very important is segmentation, mobile-ready communication, and analytics in email marketing. I guess that another important thing is the choice of the email marketing service provider. A good fit for me was GetResponse, but it’s good to test the choices that are available on the market to pick the right tool for certain business.
It is used for adding scrolling header bar to your website. It works almost on any website without giving much importance to the content management system behind it. It is highly customizable as the admin interface allows you to change the text, colors, and placement of the bars. It even has advanced targeting option so that you can make the bar visible to certain visitors only.

The Law of Scale is what all good marketers recognize, intuitively or explicitly. It states that in order to get to scale, you must leverage that which has scale. In other words, if your business’s email list is on level 1 (small), and you want to get up to level 2 (medium), use the tactic that will get you (or that have already gotten others) up there: the elevator, the stairs, a ladder, etc. Except in this case the stairs and the ladder are other websites. One of the most effective ways to do this is with guest blog posts. Brian Harris (VideoFruit.com) and others have used this technique to attract hundreds of new email subscribers to their lists. The basic formula works like this:

Quick note on this before I give examples… While on a recent trip overseas it was explained to me by a fellow entrepreneur local to the area that no one “trusted” it when companies put the logos etc. of third parties on their website. Hopefully it doesn’t get to this point in the USA so I caution you to always use REAL social proof (don’t fake it, or I will find you and… signup for your newsletter with a fake email address just to spite you). If you don’t have any well-know press logos you can use right now, read this article I wrote on how to get free press. Now to wrap it up with some social proof CTA examples: This one is from the upper right corner of our blog. Here’s one from Backlino: And here’s one from Derek Halpern’s blog, Social Triggers:
"Why aren't millennials moving?" The subject line of this email campaign reads before citing interesting data about relocation trends in the U.S. Trulia doesn't benefit from people who choose not to move, but the company does benefit from having its fingers on the pulse of the industry -- and showing it cares which way the real estate winds are blowing.
The collection of user information by publishers and advertisers has raised consumer concerns about their privacy.[28][60] Sixty percent of Internet users would use Do Not Track technology to block all collection of information if given an opportunity.[92][93] Over half of all Google and Facebook users are concerned about their privacy when using Google and Facebook, according to Gallup.[94]
Why does email list segmentation matter? We know that beyond relevancy, list segmentation is important from a revenue perspective. Data from the DMA indicates that segmented and targeted emails generate 58% of all email revenue. On top of this, our research found that marketers who used segmented campaigns noted as much as a 76% increase in revenue–and more than 76% of marketers say basic segmentation is part of their email marketing strategy.
Yes, when you log out of Ark, your body stays exactly where you left it in a perilous state of purgatory. If you have not used your survival building games know-how to put together a smartly designed base and protect yourself from the elements, prepare to see your progress swiftly eaten up. That counts for your food, farming supplies, and crafting equipment, too.
The Content Upgrade is a tactic that’s been around for a while, probably popularized in more recent years due HubSpot (an inbound marketing company) practicing it on every one of their blog posts. The basic definition of a content upgrade is this: on every article you publish on your blog, you create a simple bonus or “extra” that a visitor can get access to by providing their email. The bonus offer is something related to what is discussed in the article. For example, last week I wrote about “Pumpkin Hacking” as it relates to SEO. In that article I posted links to download my “Pumpkin Hacking Checklist” which is a 4 page PDF download (and FYI, it’s less work than it sounds like — the 4 pages is mostly because I wrote in a large font). Of course, you don’t have to create a checklist as the upgrade:
