Some of them might price their cases at $15, in which case you have to ask yourself; why would a user buy from me rather than from them? What value do I add for $5 that the competition cannot? Often, you have nothing tangible, so you have to provide that value in terms of information and trust.
One of the major differences between affiliate marketing and dropshipping is that affiliate marketing doesn’t require you to take charge of customer support, whereas dropshipping does. Because dropshipping makes you the store owner, then you are responsible for your brand. You say that when people make says from your affiliate link it can be a one time transaction however you failed to mention list building which is crucial if you want to make a full time income strictly off of affiliate marketing. I also disagree with your notion that affiliate marketing is not a real business. You can still brand yourself and build credibility even if you don’t own your own product.
The reason this could be beneficial for those interested in affiliate marketing, is let’s say you are promoting something super technical that maybe you don’t have all the answers for, something very specialized. Could be a new type of electronic, something like that. If you promote it as an affiliate. You don’t have to worry about answering these questions or dealing with complicated customer service issues. So not dealing with customer service could be a huge benefit if you promote or produce content in a niche like that.

You see articles all over the net talking about massive traffic techniques, but I’ve never really found a guide for a fresh blog/website and how to get to their first 100, 500, or 1,000 daily uniques. Its completely possible to have good margins and lots of research will help you find a better supplier. Try to keep a really good relationship with your supplier(s), add them on skype/facebook, get their phone number and treat them like a business friend!
