Whilst most influencer networks focus on social media, there are some that also have heavy focus on blog. Social Fabric is the only blog influencer platform I have experience with and their rates are fixed. This was great in the beginning as I actually got a few blog gigs that paid a little more than what brands who e-mailed me were offering. If I get the chance to research more in depth which platforms do blog and how they pay, I’ll make sure to update this post.
Influencer marketing is on the up, as demonstrated by an online survey conducted by Influencermarketinghub.com. Statistics devised from the survey show that the search term “influencer marketing” has increased by 325% in 12 months, and a large proportion of businesses are seeing a return of roughly seven times their investment. In response, businesses are increasing the amount spent on influencer marketing.
Nordstrom Rack’s recent partnership with Shopping Links is an outstanding example how influencer marketing can be coupled with affiliate marketing to drive not only brand awareness but also traffic and sales. By utilizing the Shopping Links Influencer marketplace, Nordstrom Rack was able to simplify the process of identifying and gifting influencers at scale. Individually-selected Influencers created a series of social media posts supported with blog posts to showcase Nordstrom Rack’s products to more than 500,000 potential customers.

Affiliate marketing can be a great way to earn money through your blog, especially once your traffic picks up. If you’re new to this concept, it’s essentially a custom URL with a unique tracking code in it. If someone purchases something through your affiliate link, you’ll earn a commission (typically between 5-15%). And it usually doesn’t have to be the specific item you linked. Most of these affiliate programs will give you a commission if someone purchased anything from a particular site within a specific time window after the click through. The great thing about programs such as Amazon Associates, Reward Style, Shop Style and Link Share, is they’re easy to setup and start using and there is no risk involved – worst case scenario you don’t make any money but best case you’ll make a nice chunk of change without anything other than creating a custom link for the product you’re planning on linking anyway. Most will also accept all bloggers regardless of page views. I’m not going to go into too much detail about affiliate marketing, since there’s a ton of good information online already. You can read a great in-depth article about affiliate marketing for bloggers here.

I’ve been a struggling fashion blogger for 5 years now. I’m not going to lie, I’ve given up time and time and time again. I think I quit 5 different times and after 3 months I chose to try blogging again. For goodness sakes, I f*[email protected]!ing get invited to New York Fashion Week. I sit on front row of Zimmermann, BCBG MaxAzria, Merissa Webb, etc. but that’s it. Nothing more. I want more. I want to make money off of my blog. I want to grow.
Through Instagram influencer marketing, you can get Instagram influencers in your niche with a large following to share one of your posts — this way, you can potentially get tens of thousands of targeted people to view your post overnight. This is why Instagram influencer marketing excels– you’ll have thousands of potential customers viewing your products, and they’ll be likely to convert as they trust the influencer enough already to follow them. Imagine what this can do for your ecommerce store’s growth!
This was an awesome post, but your comment about leveraging other entrepreneurial accounts I think is spot on. Having @BussinessPeopleInc (64k followers) or accounts like that post a quote of yours or something will probably reach your target demo much more effectively than trying to replicate accounts like Dan B’s. I’m sure you know this by now though. Great blog filled with invaluable information. Keep it coming brother.

While the world of Instagram influencers and how we utilize them to market our products is still very young, we have been able to cover several great ways to get the most out of these powerful players within your affiliate program. A landing page is often used to collect email addresses and sell products, but you could create a landing page containing numerous links to direct your IG traffic. Alternatively, you can use IG-centric apps that provide templates to feature various links, for example, LinkTree and Lnk.Bio. Their goals are to solve the one-link Insta dilemma. LinkTree states, “You only get one chance to link in Instagram. Make it do more.” Lnk.Bio reads, “Multiple links for your Instagram bio, the new way to improve your Instagram experience.” Both tools are easy to set up. You just connect your IG account, pick a template, add links, and you’re ready. LinkTree has a free and pro plan. Lnk.Bio has four plans including free, monthly, and lifetime. Both platforms provide basic analytics.
Was möchte(n) Ihre Zielgruppe(n)?
For influencer networks, I’ve found the average rates to be quite a bit lower. The average rate for gigs I was accepted for through Popular Pays, for example, was about 30% lower than the rates I was able to get through direct e-mail collaborations. I assume this is because these influencer networks have influencers compete with one another so everyone lowers their rates a bit in hopes of getting the gig. With a brand who e-mails you, on the other hand, you already know they want to work with you so you’re more confident in sticking with your full rates. I would say $10 CPM is a great starting point for e-mail negotiations (if you’ve got the engagement and photo quality to back it up) vs. $5 CPM is about the lowest you should accept / offer for influencer networks.

On Instagram, hashtags are your best friend. They’ll put your post in front of thousands more people. That will earn you more followers, and, hopefully, more sales. Make sure you add relevant hashtags to all posts promoting the product or service. Going back to our health food blogger example, she might add hashtags like #healthyliving and #cleaneating to her affiliate posts.
I told them to send me their pictures….and I had to do this at the beginning…I created post with their image and they paid me for this. And now every two weeks I create for them sponsored post. I can't tell how much they are paying me because it's in our agreement. I can tell you that if your Instagram account has between 2k to 8k followers and your post usually have good engagement Rate between 200 to 400 likes per post you can easily charge from $80 to $180 Dollars per post and it of course depend on your Niche.
