As an affiliate manager, the evolution of influencers in the performance marketing space is a trend I have kept a close eye on. Early on, I saw the value of content affiliates, but remained a minority among my peers. Now, the tide has changed. Influencer marketing has infiltrated the affiliate marketing world. Merchants see the value of influencers’ reviews for conversions and requests for affiliate managers to recruit influencers have grown exponentially. Affiliate managers now spend much of their time diligently crafting custom emails with the hopes of recruiting the next top performing influencer. However, many of these hours are wasted because of one common mistake. Many managers overlook the first essential step in the recruitment process: creating the prospect list.  An unqualified list results in failure, no matter how brilliant your recruitment outreach.

Like any social media platform, increasing followers, views, engagement, and CTRs are a function of user activity. Posting at least once daily should be your goal. Using hashtags makes your content more discoverable. You should add ten to twenty hashtags to every post without appearing spammy. I have my hashtags ready to copy and paste in a memo on my phone. Check out your competition to understand what hashtags they use and discover the most popular hashtags with a tool like RiteTag. You might also like to read Hootsuite’s The Do’s and Don’ts of How to Use Hashtags and The Complete Instagram Hashtag Guide. Lastly, you might want to buy followers or use marketing automation and bots to attract people to your profile. For differing opinions on these topics, search for “buying IG followers, “IG bots,” and “IG automation.”

I have to agree with @Beatrix Willius…maybe I missed the whole point of this experiment. I have nothing against beautiful women promoting anything. (I’m a huge UFC fan) but based on your experiment I have to assume you’re only interested in getting leads from wealthy male entrepreneurs? There are quite a few of us females with lots of cash to invest as well.
Sponsored posts on Instagram can be a great tool to increase your followers, and engagements on specific posts. If you have a coupon code, or a working on a collaboration this can be a good way to increase sales. You can target your audience to specific demographics including location, interests, behaviours and purchase intent which makes it easy to find the people you are looking for.

Earnings are what matter to most affiliates. Our commissions indicate how we are performing, which is why affiliate marketing is also called performance and commissioned-based marketing. You can monitor traffic to your website in which case Google Analytics will do the trick.
Tip#2 is to go sign up for elink,io right now. It’s a free tool that lets you post multiple links on your instagram bio which is super helpful to increase profits for us affiliate marketers. You can share links to multiple different landing pages and offers which is great for split testing, while you simultaneously share links to your other social media, and even your website. So now you don’t have to choose between a link to your landing or a link to your youtube channel, you can have both…. And no i’m not sponsored by them.

The top Influencers may balk at this payment model since they are used to pay-per-post. But again, it’s much more likely that micro-influencers will be open to this model. And to sweeten the pot, you should offer an initial “signing bonus” of free products for them to have, and also a higher commission rate unique for these affiliate Influencers. If your usual commission rate is 10–20% for the average influencer, consider going as high as 50%. Even if the ROI isn’t quite 11X, but say 5X, it’s still well worth the commission costs.
When you are posting a photo make sure you use relevant tags. Including hashtags means more engagement and likes. To find the best tags for your content you need to research your audience to find out what hashtags they are using on their posts. Posting the most popular tags won’t necessarily help you in the long run. For example, a travel blogger should have travel related tags. If they were to include a hashtag about vitamins it wouldn’t necessarily fit with their content. If you include a hashtag that doesn’t fit with your niche, people will be less likely to engage with you.
Doing affiliate marketing on Instagram has its peculiarities, but the key idea remains the same – you don’t need to sell your own products, being able to promote someone else’s goods and get a commission for each transaction. It takes a few simple steps. Sign up to an advertiser that has an affiliate program and enroll with it. Look at your Instagram profile analytically and decide if you’d like to use a personal account or launch a separate one to earn money through Instagram. Bear in mind that personal accounts seem more trustworthy and credible. Polish your account, come up with a catchy caption and attach a link to a profile. Ready? Now it’s time to make some money.
Tip #1 Post links to your landing pages and websites within your stories. Now before you get all like, but I need to have like 10,000 followers to be able do that. Let me give you a strategy to help get you there ASAP. The strategy I prefer for getting 10,000 followers takes a little longer than follow/unfollow, but it gets high quality active followers, and that’s Gary Vee’s $1.80 strategy. Basically with this strategy you search up 10 hashtags in your niche and and leave your 2 cents, AKA a comment on the top 9 posts for each hashtag. I highly recommend doing this over the follow, unfollow method because you can really build a strong connection which of course is great for sales, but if you’re a little more impatient feel free to do the follow, unfollow method with an app like captivate to speed up the process.
Choose either an existing post and select Edit, or create a new post. Click on the image where you would like to add a shoppable tag. Enter the name of the product you would like to tag, and then select it as it appears in the search box. You can drag the tag around the screen to ensure it doesn’t block too much of the image. Once finished, Preview the image, and then select Done > Share.
Through Instagram influencer marketing, you can get Instagram influencers in your niche with a large following to share one of your posts — this way, you can potentially get tens of thousands of targeted people to view your post overnight. This is why Instagram influencer marketing excels– you’ll have thousands of potential customers viewing your products, and they’ll be likely to convert as they trust the influencer enough already to follow them. Imagine what this can do for your ecommerce store’s growth!

Ideally, you should take photos of yourself holding the product. You may also want to create posts that show the effect of the product. If you’re an affiliate marketer for makeup, you might post a before and after photo of what you look like before and after you put on the makeup. There are a ton of ways to do this – how you choose to market the product or service is completely up to you.

Great insight! Big brands are now into micro-influencers as they have more real engagement with real followers which they can market effectively. You can use a tool like an engagement rate calculator from Phlanx.com to know the interaction activity of a micro-influencer. You can also use an influencer directory to speed up the process in looking for the right influencers to work with.

Another great way to get the most out of Instagram influencers in your affiliate program is to host a product giveaway with them. Influencers love running giveaways because they receive excellent engagement from them and gain a lot of new followers in the process. When you structure the giveaway with the influencer you do want to make sure that it’s not one sided and you get some new followers for your social media accounts as well. At the end of the day, it’s a great way to get some new followers and get some great marketing out there for the cost of your product, which is usually a brand’s preferred currency.

With the maturing of the affiliate marketing industry, we are witnessing the emergence of influencers. These could be gurus who conduct programs in affiliate marketing. Or they could be bloggers who specialize in writing about affiliate marketing. Or they could be affiliate marketers who openly share their secrets of success. If some of these influencers put in a good word for you, their credibility could end up giving you nice inroads into the affiliate marketing community.

Next, on your Facebook page, select Shop > Add Product. Here you can add product images as well as the name, price, description, and the URL for the product page or checkout page. Don’t skimp on the description here, as these are the details your audience will see on Instagram when they tap for more information on the product. The more information you provide, the more likely Instagrammers will click through to your site and make a purchase.

hey that account whoisneilpatel only has 500 followers now what the hell man what happened to the account is there a follow up to this article you missed like every one eventually unfollowed you. I need to know other wise I aint never buying a IG Account and I allso want to know how much was did you buy the account for. that wasn’t addressed in the article

Schreib also die Marken gerne mal an und schau was passiert.
The world of the social media influencer offers up a lot of opportunities to marketers. Before committing marketing budget to this, as you would before embarking on any new channel at a cost, it’s best to consider how influencer marketing fits in with your overall strategy and how it will help to achieve your business’s goals. Employing it as part of the marketing strategy can reap great rewards, and open your products up to a whole new audience. After all, if 94% of marketers who have used this technique believe it to be effective, it is worth a try.
The truth is that both influencer and affiliate marketing are powerful ways to educate your target audience and turn them into customers. Not understanding the differences and how each strategy works means you miss out on opportunities to increase your reach and grow your business. You see, it’s not about relying on just one strategy all the time but instead figuring out which one meets your current goals and alternating between the strategies.

There will always be plenty of brands that reach out to you who don’t have budget beyond simply free gifting. When you’re first starting out, that’s only natural as you don’t yet have as much to offer when it comes to your online reach. Collaborating on a free gifting basis allows you to build up your credibility, your brand, and open the doors for future collaborations because you’re able to showcase that you make a great spokesperson for a brand. But there comes a point when ( a ) the novelty of getting stuff for free wears off and ( b ) you realize that you’re providing brands with something of value and that you should be fairly compensated for that. The expectation by so many brands that influencers do work for free is something that really irks me. In what other profession would you do work and not get paid for it, whether or not you’re just starting out in the industry? Sure, you might just make a little above minimum wage, but you’re definitely being paid something. Yes, smaller brands and those just starting out probably won’t have a huge marketing budget and I still sometimes work on a gifting basis if it’s a brand I firmly believe in and want to build a long-term relationship with. But when companies that have been around for years and have built up a successful brand themselves don’t value you and your work enough to feel you should be paid? It’s a slap in the face, to be honest. Ladies (and gentlemen), please know your worth and don’t feel pressure to do free (or underpaid) work. It’s better to say no and save yourself the time and hassle. When you say no to working for free, you’re leaving yourself open to collaborations with brands who are willing to pay you fairly. You only have a limited number of hours to do work each week and, most likely, you also have a limited number of sponsored posts you want to do each week to keep your Instagram feed and blog from appearing too sales-pitchy. Leave those coveting slots open for brands who value you.

As for Instagram, having a business account makes it even easier for brands to contact you but I would personally shy away from switching since there’s a lot of whisper in the blogging world that Instagram will soon make business accounts pay to get their content seen by anyone. If you’re interested in reading more of my thoughts, check out my Instagram growth blog post – point #10).

This aspect of Instagram marketing may take quite a while to complete. You might have to go through many posts and hashtags to find influencers that are a good fit to tell your brand’s story. But it’s worth investing time into this step to do it right– if you nail down the perfect Instagram influencers who cater to your specific target audience, you could enjoy a pretty good ROI on your marketing spend.
Choose either an existing post and select Edit, or create a new post. Click on the image where you would like to add a shoppable tag. A Direct Message on Instagram is only slightly better. It can get lost in the mix of other DMs, and it’s often a crap shoot as to whether they will even read it since if they don’t follow you on Instagram, your DM will show up as a “message request” in their inbox. These are often just ignored. However, Influencers on the micro-level are more likely to check these DMs so for those with smaller followings, it’s worth a shot.
