When you are posting a photo make sure you use relevant tags. Including hashtags means more engagement and likes. To find the best tags for your content you need to research your audience to find out what hashtags they are using on their posts. Posting the most popular tags won’t necessarily help you in the long run. For example, a travel blogger should have travel related tags. If they were to include a hashtag about vitamins it wouldn’t necessarily fit with their content. If you include a hashtag that doesn’t fit with your niche, people will be less likely to engage with you.
Facebook users may be declining, but there are still billions of users to segment and target. In the example below, the influencer goes one step further than simply showing the products she’s promoting. She also includes a video overview of her experience. This approach is important because followers don’t have to make a decision based solely on her word: they can watch her use the product and make a decision based on that. Using video also gives an authentic feel to the campaign because it’s easier for followers to imagine that this influencer uses these products.
As you can see, Instagram offers some genuine opportunities to make money online. Whether you want to become an Instagram influencer, sell physical products, photographs, or affiliate products, or become an Instagram expert in the freelancing field, there are possibilities for everyone. Whatever route you choose to go down, make sure you persevere, as the financial rewards can be more than worth it.
Genius doesn’t come from stagnation and the thing I respect about QuickSprout is that you’re willing to actually test things and then report back so we don’t have to. As much as we love to play upstanding citizen, it’s no secret that sex sells… especially on a visual platform like instagram. I think it’s very interesting and controversial that you explored its “value” in branding.
On Instagram, hashtags are your best friend. They’ll put your post in front of thousands more people. That will earn you more followers, and, hopefully, more sales. Make sure you add relevant hashtags to all posts promoting the product or service. Going back to our health food blogger example, she might add hashtags like #healthyliving and #cleaneating to her affiliate posts.
I told them to send me their pictures….and I had to do this at the beginning…I created post with their image and they paid me for this. And now every two weeks I create for them sponsored post. I can't tell how much they are paying me because it's in our agreement. I can tell you that if your Instagram account has between 2k to 8k followers and your post usually have good engagement Rate between 200 to 400 likes per post you can easily charge from $80 to $180 Dollars per post and it of course depend on your Niche.

This way neither of you will be disappointed and you should be on your way to creating more revenue.
As you might already know, Instagram has made it possible and easy to switch between your personal and business accounts. Setting up a business profile has a number of advantages. It allows you to get access to real-time analytics and view the engagement metrics on particular posts. Users, in turn, can reach out to you by tapping the Contact button and taking a specific action afterwards, like making a call or sending you an email. In 2016, Instagram rolled out a new option for business accounts – Instagram for Business. It’s a great way to put the promoted product in front of your target audience in a few simple steps. Upgrade your business profile to Instagram for Business. Create a compelling, eye-catching post featuring the product. Select the target audience, budget, promotional content, CTA, and duration of the promotion. Once it’s done, you will see the button “Promote” under your post and be able to start running your ad on Instagram!
Great insight! Big brands are now into micro-influencers as they have more real engagement with real followers which they can market effectively. You can use a tool like an engagement rate calculator from Phlanx.com to know the interaction activity of a micro-influencer. You can also use an influencer directory to speed up the process in looking for the right influencers to work with.
Like them or hate them, hashtags make a difference. They improve the discoverability of posts and drive likes and comments. The key point here is relevance. Use the hashtags that correspond to your niche. Carry out research and pay attention to the tags your competitors use in their posts. Incorporate some branded hashtags to raise awareness, like the name of the promoted product or any other related tag. Let your creativity flow. Instagram allows to use up to 30 hashtags per post, but be careful not to go overboard. The optimal number of hashtags for maximum engagement is 11.

To succeed in affiliate marketing, a publisher needs to deploy thousands of links in multiple places to increase the number of clicks and conversions. On IG, the only place to put a hyperlink is in one’s bio. Links anywhere else are not clickable, for example, links in posts. Many affiliates include links in the hopes that people will copy and paste them into their browsers, but that’s a terrible strategy. So, what is an affiliate marketer to do?
The same holds true for video ads. As Mediakix reports, sponsored videos are commented on three times more than sponsored photos. Once uploaded, your post will be labeled ‘Sponsored’ and will show up in the news feed of those users who fit the profile to be the most interested in your offer. This way, Instagram aims to preserve the seamless look and feel of the feed, so that users are more willing to engage with it.
Since the introduction of Instagram stories was released in November 2016, it has become incredibly popular as a peek into the day to day lives of some of the most popular Instagrammers out there. Anything that gets posted lasts for just 24 hours. @sheshopped posted about creating pretty ice cubes for her Marks and Spencer Australia photo shoot the next day. This lets people know to expect something new on your Instagram the next day to highlight that brand and piques people’s curiosity.
I don’t have experience with all that many influencer networks so I can’t give a comprehensive review or even list them all. Those that I’ve got decent to good experience with are Popular Pays (my favourite Instagram influencer app and where I got my very first paid gig last summer, with one of my favourite brands no less), Social Fabric (although most of their gigs are US only and they’re vigilant about that), Muse Find and Revfluence. I also signed up for the following networks, but haven’t gotten much (or even any) work through them: Collabor8, Collectively, IZEA, Linqia, Nichify, and TapInfluence. Some of these don’t pay well versus others I just haven’t been contacted much, which could be because I’m based in Canada and a lot of these influencer networks focus on US brands who want US influencers (even though my reach in the US is about the same as fellow US-based mom bloggers).
Since Instagram started in 2010, influencers have flocked to the platform to increase their audience, traffic, followers and engagement. With 29% of Instagram’s top posts coming from influencers or brand ambassadors, they are dominating the game when it comes to user generated content, and with statistics showing that Instagram has over 700 million monthly users it is now over twice the size of twitter. This isn’t something that should be ignored, especially for brands when they are looking at Instagram affiliate marketing strategies.
I’ve googled and googled and cannot seem to find out how random girls just blow up on Instagram. I HONESTLY do not care about the numbers of followers, I just want to see my business grow and it eats at me how I cannot find “the secret”; because I know there is one…. How does a girl start her blog and 6 months after her launch she has over 1,000,000 page views. They say… Great taste but I call bullshit. For a while I even began to think it was because I’m not a f*[email protected] stick. I have a nice a$$.. But even big a$$es go viral on IG.
Once you’re starting to work with brands in a paid capacity, it’s great to have a media kit on hand to send along when requested. A media kit is a document that outlines the key facts and statistics of your blog. From the number of blog readers / social media followers you have, your page views, reader / follower demographics, the types of collaborations you do, and brands you’ve worked with in the past. You’ll also want to include a short bio of yourself / your blog as well as where you can be found online. Jeni, from The Media Maven wrote a detailed post about what you need to include to make a kick-a** media kit.

I’ve been a struggling fashion blogger for 5 years now. I’m not going to lie, I’ve given up time and time and time again. I think I quit 5 different times and after 3 months I chose to try blogging again. For goodness sakes, I f*[email protected]!ing get invited to New York Fashion Week. I sit on front row of Zimmermann, BCBG MaxAzria, Merissa Webb, etc. but that’s it. Nothing more. I want more. I want to make money off of my blog. I want to grow.
