Continuing the conversation about engagement, when recruiting influencers, review which posts garner the most comments. Are the most popular posts personal ones with animals, quotes or kids? Does the influencer get engagement on sponsored, product specific or affiliate posts? What type of comments do the posts receive? For instance, if the comments refer to the individual’s beauty or the creative aspect of the photo, it will generate fewer sales than posts where the followers ask specific questions about the product.

Now, this is is just a guideline that most influencers (and influencer talent agencies) go by. There are plenty of brands out there who aren’t willing to pay this high so you be the judge of what you’re willing to accept. Don’t undersell yourself though. It takes a lot of work to produce content and just because someone is willing to pay something, doesn’t mean it’s enough for the work involved or the reach you provide.

You can tailor your search simply by entering relevant keywords to your business into the search bar at the top of the page. The platform is free and easy to use, so it is totally worth doing a quick Webstagram search as you try to identify key information relevant to your Instagram marketing strategy. When you do a Webstagram search, the site generates a list of the most popular related hashtags and users on Instagram, and from there, you can both find the best tags to include on your photos as well as potential influencers.
Influencer marketing is the process of partnering with influential people in your niche and getting their help to promote your products and services. Of course your goal is to get people to click the links in your bio, but if you make every other post about an offer or a link all your going to do is piss people off, and ultimately lose followers. I’ve found that one promotional post per week is the sweet spot to not piss off your followers, but make sure they know you have an offer out there.

I’m a big Dan Bilzarian fan. I’m also a Neil Patel fan. But when the “who is Neil Patel” photos were shared with me I was disappointed. I felt cheated. Because what I was seeing was completely different than the brand I thought Neil Patel was. I was confused and didn’t trust what I was seeing. Rather than an educated marketing expert I saw a pig. First person I thought of was Dan Bilzarian, but that wasn’t s good thing only because it was against your brand. I didn’t trust what I saw. I then forwarded the photos to the person who referred me to your program, and she had the same reaction and said “That’s disgusting. I lost respect.” I’m glad you wrote this post to clarify the intention and restore your brand. Conclusion, your bread and butter know you as a marketing expert here to help them grow their business with your expertise and experience. You’ve built loyalty and respect in this way – protect your brand.

It’s a tough line to walk because, of course, you want your post to translate to sales, but you also don’t want people to immediately shut off and scroll past you because they know your post is an ad. Thus, my short answer would be to work on including some sort of call to action within the photo. Make the photo engaging and encourage people to like and/or comment. Perhaps some sort of contest? Travel blogger @Anna Everywhere has an Instagram full of stunning photo shoots in amazing locations around the world. She is incredibly stylish, and many people send her messages asking where she buys her clothes, so to help with that - even though this is not the focus point of the picture, she will include a link to the product below the image. The image below is from Waikiki, and she mentions her bikini after everything she has to say about the location. She also doesn’t link to products in every single post that she does.
Very interesting experiment and read. I know that IG can be very successful for my industry (powersports) though I don’t use it much. As a father I know that youth in my area perfer IG to FB and other social media outlets. I wonder if a new account with $57k in advertising would have done as well as the $15k existing account with $42k in advertising over the same time period?
